1.2. How to cancel order

To cancel an order please call 02 9310 3935 or email info@keytech.com.au quoting your order number, contact details and products which you like to cancel. Customer will borne all shipping cost for items which have already been dispatch to the shipping address or in transit. Plus a 10% cancellation fee.

Any attempt to cancel an order must be made as soon as possible. Cancellations attempted after the dispatching will result in the customer having to pay the shipping and handling charges on the package and the cost of shipping the package back. Cancellations may be communicated by telephone, email or Fax. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays by E-mail or Fax only. Cancellations for assembled system orders will incur a 10% cancellation fee. This is to reflect the labor cost and the depreciation for the used parts. Cancellation for specially ordered items will also attract a 10% cancellation fee. This is to cover the return to stock fee implied by our suppliers and shipping cost.

2. Delivery

When you register and provide your delivery address, we prefer that you provide your business address. This is also to make sure that delivery will be received at the destination where you are available most of the time.

In the interest of getting your goods to you quickly, we may remove products from bulky retail packaging, in order to fit them into Express Satchels.

We will not leave any goods unattended. Proof of identifications and/or signature might be required upon the receipt of the goods. Customers are responsible to have someone at the delivery address to sign for and accept the delivery. Cost for re-delivery attempts will be passed to the customers if the delivery address is unattended at the time of delivery.

A signature is the best possible way of showing that the goods have made it to you successfully. (The goods do not have to be signed for by you personally) Therefore the use of a business address will save you time and money.

All your orders are delivered by our courier partners.

Deliveries will not be attempted if you provide PO BOX address as the shipping address. We will not take any responsibility for damaged or lost items during transit by couriers or postal services.

2.1. Delivery Charge and Insurance

Our business is based in the Sydney Waterloo area. Therefore, all charges are calculated based upon distance from Sydney Waterloo to postcode destination, and weight or weightmetric of the total order (whichever is higher). We are commited to give the best service anytime and on-time delivery. All the charges are based upon Standard Courier Rates which starts from AU$9.00 inc GST.

However, we reserve all rights to request further delivery payments before orders can be dispatched if you request a split delivery for orders in-stock and back orders.

Delivery Details/Conditions

Please ensure you have provided us with the correct delivery and contact details, we will not be responsible for any items lost, stolen or damaged which has been dispatched for delivery if you have provided us with the incorrect delivery and contact details.

For all orders there is a 3pm cut off time. Any orders placed after 3pm will be processed the next business day at 10am.

We are committed to deliver your order the next day after all funds are cleared when possible.

For all international buyers, delivery and insurance will be quoted manually. Order will not be dispatched until the payment is cleared and by telegraphic transfer to our account only. International Credit Card cannot be accepted.

2.2. Delivery Time

Delivery time is stated solely by way of information and are, consequently, not binding. Delays in delivery cannot under any circumstances give rise to a fine, compensation or dissolution of the agreement. A departure from the above stipulation is only possible by means of an express written agreement between the parties.

We reserve the right to make partial deliveries, which constitute partial sales if required. The partial delivery of an order cannot justify refusal to pay for the goods which are confirmed.

Generally, Expedited Courier Shipping takes 1-2 business days and Standard Shipping takes 3-5 business days. However, please allow more time for the destination as follow,
  • Australian Rural Location can take up to 3 extra business days
  • Western Australia can take up to 3 extra business days
  • International customers can take up to 15 extra days or more.

3. Our Payment

Payment can be done using Money Order/TT, Direct Bank Deposit / Net Banking into our bank account details below, subject to clearance - usually takes 6-24 hours. All EFTPOS and credit card payments will be processed by OSPAY.

Credit card payment method are for Australian customers only using an Australian issued credit card, subject to clearance - usually takes 24-48 hours.All EFTPOS and credit card payments will be processed by OSPAY.
Note: American Express cards will be charge an additional 4% for processing, Visa and Master cards will be charge an additional 2% for processing.
Please allow 1-2 days or more for all Australian credit card payment to be processed. Currently, we do not accept any international credit card payments. International buyers can use paypal.

4. Warranty

Due to a very competitive pricing structure that we provide to our customers, we only accept return of faulty goods. Therefore customers are required to borne the responsibility to adopt as much information about the products such as compatibility, features and other relevant details prior the purchase or order.

  • There will be no credit given on order price difference, due to price drops. Please select carefully at the time when you place your order.
Returns for refund will only be accepted within 7 days of you receiving the goods. A restocking fee of 10%-20% of the purchase price will be deducted, depending on the item. Returned goods must be in its original condition and include all the original packaging. Anything which is not sealed must be replaced at the customers expense. For example a printer which has had its inks removed and installed into the machine will require customers to purchase a new set of inks prior to returning the item. Shipping and handling cost are not refundable. This return for refund policy is applicable for change of mind, and lack of expertise for installation etc but is at the discretion of the manager. Please contact us and obtain a RA (Return Authorisation) number prior to returning anything. Goods must be shipped within 3 working days after the RA number is issued. Please understand we need to receive the goods in a timely fashion for us to return to the suppliers or to resell. Please refer to the warranty section for refund procedures regarding Dead On Arrival goods.

  • Any incorrect, missing or damaged items received must be reported to Key-Tech Computers within 24 hours of you receiving the delivery. This can only be done via phone or email to warranty@keytech.com.au
If item(s) received is not what was ordered please do not open the sealed package in which it was sent. Any attempt to use the incorrect item will be deemed to be acceptance by the customer of the item(s) as a satisfactory substitute for the one that was ordered and no further claim can be raised thereafter.

  • Key-Tech Computers owns the title of any extra goods shipped with your order that have been despatched in error.
  • Refunds for some items will be at the current market price - not at the original purchase price. This is due to rapid depreciation of computer part costs.
A large percentage of returned goods are found to be, not faulty. If the returned goods are determined by Key-Tech Computers to not be faulty, then all returning shipping fees will be worn by the customer. We will seek the permission from the customer to charge this cost to the customer?s credit card where possible. Key-Tech Computers also reserves the right to charge the labour cost for examining these goods where no fault was found. The standard charge for returning a non-faulty component is $30.

  • All goods sold under the Clearance Sale Category have no warranty whatsoever.
  • For all LCD monitors and panels including PDA, notebooks, mp3 players and GPS systems etc please refer to the manufacturer's dead pixel policy. One or more dead pixel is not always covered by warranty. Check the user manual for details or contact the manufacturer for further details.
  • All goods sold by Key-Tech Computers come with one-year back to base manufacturer warranty, it can only be shorter if a special note is mentioned about an item. Most computer systems built by Key-Tech Computers carry a 1year parts and 1year labour warranty. This warranty is not transferable. The system warranty only covers the system unit; it does not extend to any peripheral components such as monitors, keyboard etc. All the peripheral components are covered by standard manufacturer warranty.
Goods that are faulty can be exchanged within 7 days. After 7 days Goods under warranty cover will be replaced or repaired by the manufacturers. No refund can be provided under any circumstances.

All warranties are voided if returned product is found in any way to be mishandled, misinstalled, modified, tampered, abused, physically damaged or used under wrong voltage etc. Only an authorised technician may attempt to take the cover of any system built by Computer World to make modifcations etc. We request that customers with little knowledge of a desktop computers electronics not try to attempt to install devices themselves for thier own personal safety and to avoid the risk of hardware failure. Key -Tech Computers customers always recieve a discount labour charge when upgrading or modifying the PC whch was purchased from us.

Key -Tech Computers is not responsible for data contents or the security of the data contents contained in any returned goods. Our workshop works under strict guidelines, not to intercept with any customer data. However it is impossible to say that your data is 100% safe at any time. We STRONGLY advise customers to back up any data prior to sending the goods back to us; data can be destroyed during testing, re-formatting etc. It is also beyond the scope of our control once the device is sent to our supplier. We can attempt to backup the data prior to a service job onto hard drive or CD-RW but this service will incur a standard labour fee.

Warrantees for individual parts we sell are provided by the manufacturers, NOT Key -Tech Computers.

Warranty only covers the item(s) sold by Key -Tech Computers. Warranty does not cover any other equipment used in conjunction with the item(s) sold by Key -Tech Computers.

Transport charges may be applicable by customer both ways of returned items.

Key -Tech Computers does not handle warranty claim for those goods where the manufacturer accepts direct warranty claims from customers. Most of the monitors, printers, notebooks etc are covered by direct manufacturer warranty.

All warrantees are voided if returned product is found in any way to be mishandled, misinstalled, modified, tampered, abused, physically damaged or used under wrong voltage etc.

Key-Tech will not accept or replace any damaged goods caused by misuse or improper handling.

All products, unless noted otherwise, are sold with the full warranty of the manufacturer.

The warranty period and service varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Customers may be required to contact the manufacturer's technical support department directly, to acquire authorization to return any faulty computer hardware products.

  • Customer is responsible for proper packaging of RA returns. All warranties will be void on items that are insufficiently or inaccurately packaged. Customer is responsible for all the shipping charges associated with returning the defective merchandise. If any item(s) returned for warranty claim is determined to be physically damaged, the item(s) will be returned to the customer as is.
  • Customer is responsible for any shipping and insurance cost involved in sending the warranty claim goods back to Key -Tech Computers and back to you. Key -Tech Computers is not responsible for any parcel missing in transit, on its return back to Key -Tech Computers.
  • Please attach a copy of the original invoice or provide the original invoice number. A detailed fault description sheet must be sent together with all the returning warranty goods.
  • We do not provide advance replacement under any circumstances. Please keep this in mind when you place your order. Key -Tech Computers is not responsible for any losses resulting from the time it takes to have the faulty item replaced or repaired.
  • If you will be using the item(s) for mission critical tasks, be it running a business, using it to prepare an examination, using it for a pre-organised game party etc, you should consider purchasing it from a provider that offers instant replacement.

4.1. Return of faulty goods

Return Of Software
Unopened or defective software can be returned for replacement. However non-defective opened software will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Procedure for Returning Faulty Goods
All faulty goods to be returned will require a Return Authorisation (RA) Number before they can be returned.

Customers must request a RA (Return Authorisation) number prior to returning any merchandise to Key -Tech Computers. RA number is deemed effective for only 7 days including the day of issue. RA number can be obtained by E-mailing our support, or by phone call. RA number are only issued when we consider the item is in fact faulty from the descriptions provided by the customer.

Key-Tech Computers recommends that products returned by post should be sent by registered or certified mail.

Transport charges may be payable by customer both ways of returned items.

Key-Tech Computers accepts no responsibilities for loss or damage occurring in transit on return to Key-Tech Computers.

Please attach a copy of the original invoice or provide the original invoice number. A detailed fault description sheet must be sent together with all the returning warranty goods. Customers coming back to collect items from warranty must provide the original warranty form that was given at the time the product was returned.

" Customer is responsible for proper packaging of RA returns. All warranties will be void on items that are insufficiently or inaccurately packaged. Customer is responsible for all the shipping charges associated with returning the defective merchandise. Turnaround time for warranty claims largely depends on the suppliers or the distributors. We will try our best to speed up the process. Please understand the time involved for a warranty claim will include: our time to test the item, shipping back to the supplier, suppliers own test and replacement/repair, and the shipping back to us. Pleas remember Some suppliers are located overseas. This can mean delays of over 4 weeks.

Unless otherwise specified, the benefits conferred by warranties set out herein are additional to all other conditions, warranties, guarantees, rights and remedies expressed or implied by the Trade Practices Act.

4.3. Return of Dead on Arrival Goods

DEAD ON ARRIVAL (DOA)
DEAD ON ARRIVAL (DOA) Dead on Arrival is a term used to describe products, which are damaged or faulty at the time of receipt by the customer.

Should you receive any product which is dead on arrival you must notify Key-Tech Computers immediately, either by email or phone on (02) 93103935 within 2 days advising the date of purchase, invoice number and the serial number of the product.

A Return Authorisation (RA) number may be requested at return@keytech.com.au

Once the product has been identified you will be issued with a Return Authorisation (RA) number.

Transport charges of the goods back to Key-Tech Computers is payable by customer.

The Return Authorisation number should be clearly written on a label placed on the outside of the shipping carton - do not write directly on the carton.

If the Return Authorisation number cannot be identified, the product will be returned to you immediately at your expense.

We will repair or replace the product within 7 working days of its receipt, (although exceptions to this may occur from time to time).

Where the product is replaced it will be returned in its original packaging, as we received it.

If a product returned as "dead on arrival" is found not to be faulty, you will be charged a no-fault fee of $100.

EXCEPTIONS IMPOSED BY MANUFACTURERS
Hewlett-Packard

If the product fails within 7 days of it being invoiced to the final user of the product then it is considered to be Dead on Arrival (DOA). In this case please contact Key-Tech Computers to arrange for a replacement product. If the product failure occurs outside this period, the product is considered to be a standard warranty call. In this case please visit Hewlett-Packard's Website listed on contact us section, find their support number and place a warranty service call.


SONY

Any product that arrives damaged or fails shortly after sale to an end user is considered DOA. If the unit is complete and in original packaging Key-Tech Computers can organise a replacement if contacted within 14 days. To organise a replacement under this scheme, contact Key-Tech Computers. For incomplete product, DOAs which fall outside the above parameters, warranty repairs, upgrades and replacements, please visit Sony's Website listed on contact us section, find their support number and place a service call.

5. General Terms and Conditions

The use of this site is governed by the TERMS AND CONDITIONS AGREEMENT OF SALE set forth below. Your use of this site or purchase from Key-Tech Computers indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. All sales, whether internet based or in store are subject to these terms and conditions as stated on the bottom on invoices. It is important you read and fully understand this document at the time of purchase. A copy of this document is available prior to sale of goods at any of our branches.

Key-Tech Computers reserves the right to make changes to this web site and these terms and conditions at any time without any prior notice.

Key-Tech Computers is the service provider; it is also referred to as Key-Tech, "us" and "we".

Customer is the person or organisation who purchases or seeks services from Key-Tech Computers; it is also referred to as "you".


Conditions of Sale and Use
All Prices stated in the website is GST inclusive and in Australia dollar.

All our offers and price lists in the website are without obligation and are valid for information purposes only, so that they are not binding on us under any circumstances. Our prices are subject to change without notice.

Key-Tech Computers will not be held liable for failure to execute an order due to force majeure, for example due to exhaustion of stocks, non-execution of deliveries by the suppliers of Key-Tech Computers, the destruction of goods due to accidents, strikes, fires, floods, or any other defects that are caused by natural disturbance etc.

This list is not exhaustive. Key-Tech Computers is not obliged to prove the unforeseen character of the circumstance which constitutes force majeure.

All terms and conditions in the website govern all agreements between Key-Tech Computers and its customers, in so far as no departure from them is stipulated in special terms and conditions or agreements.

Our general and special terms and conditions of sale and delivery are deemed to have been accepted by our customer even if they should be in conflict with his general or special terms and conditions.

The latter are only binding on us if we have expressly accepted them in writing. Our acceptance cannot, under any circumstances, be deduced from the circumstance that we may have accepted the commercial agreement without objecting to the stipulations which refer to the general or special terms and conditions or to similar stipulations of the customer.

The appointee, employee, spouse or any other family member of the customer represents him and is assumed to have the necessary mandate to bind him in dealings with ourselves and have agreed to this condition of use.

We will not accept any return for item shipped from overseas. Key-Tech Computers is not liable to any additional fee raised on the item shipped from overseas (extra fee from Australia custom).

Undertakings /Placing order
Orders or assignments accepted by them are only valid after written confirmation by a Managing Director or a person within Key-Tech Computers who is authorised to do so. We reserve the right to refuse orders for which we have not given such confirmation.

Key-Tech Computers may vary prices for received orders in the event of price changes or mistakes made by suppliers. In the case of price increase, you may cancel the order by giving notice to Key-Tech Computers, which must be received within seven days of the price increase notification.

Despite our web site being directly connected to our inventory system, quantity in stock displayed on our web site should be considered as a guide only. Quantity in stock does not take into account the orders already placed which are yet to be processed. It is possible that an order placed earlier will receive the allocation of the part in which the quantity for it showed as in stock at the time of your order. Inventory discrepancy can also affect the accuracy of the stock status displayed on our web site.

Please understand we do not operate a shop front. All prices listed on the web site are for internet mail orders only.

Order Cancellations
  • Any attempt to cancel an order must be made as soon as possible. Cancellations attempted after the despatching will result in the customer having to pay the shipping and handling charges on the package and the cost of shipping the package back.

MEMBERS Terms and Condition
The terms and conditions for membership of KEY-TECH COMPUTERS are set out below and are binding on the person making the application for membership from the date of application of membership. The member AKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES as follows :
  1. The member must be over 18 years of age and must hold a valid credit card to participate.


  2. The member authorises KEY-TECH COMPUTERS VIA OSPAY to make debits to the nominated credit card account on my behalf.


  3. Membership in KEY-TECH COMPUTERS is open to any individual or corporation.


  4. KEY-TECH COMPUTERS reserves the right to reject any application for Membership.


  5. Membership commences upon acceptance of the Membership application by KEY-TECH COMPUTERS.


  6. Membership in KEY-TECH COMPUTERS is not transferable or refundable.


  7. Member must log in as a member each time the member wants to purchase items at member prices. If the member does not log in, he/she will not be entitled to Member price for that purchase.


  8. KEY-TECH COMPUTERS reserves the right to terminate any Member from further participation in KEY-TECH COMPUTERS Membership Program at any time without giving any notice or reason. The Member will be notified of this within 3 (THREE) business days.


  9. Members may leave KEY-TECH COMPUTERS at any time by submitting written notification.


  10. Membership will terminate automatically upon the death of the Member.



  11. KEY-TECH COMPUTERS also reserves the right to terminate the program, or any part thereof, in any jurisdiction, at any time with or without notice, even though such termination may affect the right to purchase items at member prices. KEY-TECH COMPUTERS is not liable to Members in any way for any value or benefits Members may lose as a result of any changes made to the program. We reserve the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice to you. We will not be held responsible for any costs incurred by a Member as a consequence of these Terms and Conditions changing.



  12. It is the responsibility of Member to check the website regularly for any changes to the Terms and Conditions of KEY-TECH COMPUTERS Membership Program.



  13. Continued use of the program by the Member will be deemed as acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions.



  14. It is the responsibility of Members to keep their mailing address and contact details up to date. Communications sent to Member will be deemed delivered if posted to a mailing address on record. KEY-TECH COMPUTERS will not be held responsible for any delay, misdirected or lost mail.



  15. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account details. If you have forgotten your password you may click the link on the trolley cart page and we will email your password to you. We will keep you informed of the status of your account during your membership via your email.



  16. Orders will not be dispatched until payment in full has been received and is satisfied with the integrity of the order.



  17. Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein, KEY-TECH COMPUTERS is not responsible for any loss or damage caused by late delivery or cancellation of an order or a product.


  18. Placement of an order by you constitutes an offer to enter into an agreement with us ("your offer"). We will email you an Order Confirmation for the sole purpose of confirming the details of your offer. Please note that our Order Confirmation does not constitute an acceptance of your offer or reflect the status of your order in any way.


  19. We reserve the right not to provide goods or services, terminate membership accounts, remove or edit content or cancel orders (or part thereof) at our sole discretion at any time. Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein, we will not be held liable for loss or damage arising from the exercising of these rights.

Our agreement with you only comes into existence once we have both confirmed your order and your payment has been processed. Once we have accepted payment for an order, cancellation of the order is within our sole discretion.
